'Around' Not 'Through' Chicago" was the motto of the "J".  This 205 mile railroad served the steel industry of Chicago and Northwest Indiana as well as serving as an outer belt link for all railroads that entered the Windy City.  This first Volume covers the EJ&E Eastern Subdivision from Gary, IN to Joliet, IL.
